TWS not working?

Are a lot of people unable to launch TWS (stable) because it gets stuck at the downloading Java Runtime Environment step?

First time I have ever had an issue, and zero changes on my end. Using Win 7, fwiw.

Ran into that last night - also running W7. To get TWS working I had to load the new version 10.14. This did the trick for me. Wish we were warned in advance.
 
I also had updated my Java version to the most recent, & restarted after loading the new TWS 10.14. Mine has run all night & day with no problems. Best of luck to you.
 
It has to do with one of their build having a corrupt file and doesn't load anymore. What you need to do is go into your c:\ drive and rename the jts folder to jts.old to preserve your previous setting and then go to c:\users\(folder of your own name) and search for the folder ".i4j_jres" and ".oracle_jres" and delete both of them. And then you should be able to download the offline version. Once you downloaded and installed the offline version, you can go to the "jts.old" folder and recover your previous setting.

It's happened before. Once in a while, IB will have a build that has a corrupt file and this is what you do.
