TWS Forex Question.

Ok, I have opened a paper trading account to familiarize myself with TWS, supposedly I have $1000000 fake dollars in this account. I place a couple of test orders and close them, then all of a sudden I start getting the attached message. There is nothing in the account window about any negative EUR.USD values in the 'FX Portfolio' section, I can't find anything in the help. What am I missing here?

I wouldn't deal with TWS directly. I really don't like the software.

I would download NinjaTrader and use them to paper trade through TWS.

Much cleaner and simpler interface with tons more options.

That would be nice, but I don't think it's going to change this current situation, I'm using TWS paper trading to develop against the API.

Do you get the same thing if you try it on the demo account?
Login to TWS with 'edemo' as the user and 'demouser' as the password.

look if you was trading IDEAL (for small amounts) or IDEALPRO
is your account set up as margin account?

I think it's the account type, it's set up as cash (duh).
I've put in a request to change it to Reg T Margin.
