I'm considering opening an account with IB and I'd like to know if TWS is able to show the Option Greeks in real time for your positions, so I can do gamma scalping?
TIA
TIA
TWS does show options greeks, however, there is a huge limitation that's been bothering me for a while - they don't compute gamma & theta for puts and calls of the same maturity / strike separately, reporting same values for calls and puts of same strike. Not sure why they do that, given IB is considered a major player in options markets. It's not a problem for vega, since put and call will have the same value, but for gamma and theta it's not necessarily the case.
thanks spacewiz... that would make it harder to see the skew thru the greeks, bummer
ThinkOrSwim has very good tools for options trading if you are ok to trade manually (w/o API), it has greeks, risk analysis, probability etc... Probably one of the best for retail traders, and no data fees, commissions are much higher then at IB though.
