Two US Presidential Candidates already accept crypto donations

As the 2020 US presidential elections are approaching, candidates are already striving for media attention. In an attempt to round up support among crypto enthusiasts, two Democratic presidential candidates stated that they accept cryptocurrency donations and support innovative blockchain-based technology in general.

“I believe blockchain needs to be a big part of our future. If I’m in the White House, oh boy are we going to have some fun in terms of the cryptocurrency community,” Democratic presidential contender Andrew Yang said at the Consensus 2019 conference in New York.

The other Democratic presidential candidate who supports cryptocurrencies, Eric Swallwell, called for expert oversight on Blockchain systems for interference or abuses.

Frankly, I think that eventually we'll see a lot of politicians begin to accept crypto donations.

Yep, there will be a very short learning curve for them.

Once they have accepted their first few bribes in crypto, they will catch on very fast.

They'd be stupid not to right? Money's money.

It opens an interesting topic of discussion however... the anonymity factor that cryptos afford. I guess they have to keep them below $50 or whatever it is now. But still, could one donor do a $1,000,000 if properly structured to cover their tracks? Multiple wallets? Beyond me. Interesting though.

Maybe AOC will introduce a bill allowing dems to use food stamps/EBT cards to donate to dem campaigns.

You know, in California and other places their constituents are already using their EBT cards at the buffet at the casino, so just expand that concept a little.

That was exactly what I was thinking too. It gives politicians the opportunity to receive money from shady sources without anyone noticing.
