There is no room in the vaults to store all that cash so they have to spend it somehow to clear up room in the vaults for the next infusion of free money.

Doesnt matter how stupid it is. twitter along with facebook and google has complete monopoly over the 3 pillars of the inter web.

People use google to search, use facebook to connect, and twitter to get real time chat. It's part of human society from this point onward. So yeah the companies controlling it are worth a few pennies...

shit like groupon, netflix and so on on the other hand are just hype and can be replaced easily going forward.

Youtube i am still not sure which direction it swings, since you dont really NEED to use 1 single website as it's just videos... on the other hand everyone uses it pretty exclusively at least for now.
