For those who have been missing the recent changes at X/Twitter. First Musk stopped showing headlines of linked articles. After this scammers and others immediately started to create Tweets claiming to be articles with the link going to dangerous malware sites or to advertising (that have nothing to do with the claimed content).
After this Musk introduced a new ad format which looks a lot like Tweets and can't be blocked or reported. This ads take you to click bait networks generally. It should be noted that these type of ads break the IAB and other standards for online advertising by not supporting reporting, blocking, and disclosing who is behind the ad.
Obviously advertising revenue at Twitter has fallen so far that Musk is trying to trick his user to click on clickbait ads.
