Maybe instead of blaming Elon, they should have been a little more diligent in the parenting department and paid more attention to what their kid was actually f'ing doing.

Maybe you should read the article. The parents monitored their kids social media activity and submitted the info on the predator to Twitter (via police) to obtain information on the identification of the predator -- and Twitter did nothing. "The company didn’t respond until after the child was kidnapped"

NBC noted that in replies to some of the tweets from @HunterFloofyFox, users tagged Musk. “@elonmusk this guy has taken a 13 year old boy, take his account down and retweet the amber alert,” one user tweeted shortly after the teen was kidnapped. Musk, who has a well-documented penchant for name-searching and replying to users who address him (often to exchange stolen memes) didn’t respond to any of the tweets.

And instead of Tweeting the richest man in the world personally and expecting him to respond, perhaps they should have used the proper channels which are in fact in place for LEO's and other whistle-blowers. I don't email the CEO of Verizon when my phone f's up.

As outlined -- the police followed through all the appropriate channels with Twitter -- and got no response.

Note that the parents and police did not tweet Elon Musk --- other users on Twitter did. Note that Twitter and Musk provided no response.
