TV Show: Million Dollar Traders

Quote from Random.Capital:

Episode 2 is showing up dribs-and-drabs on YouTube. It's called "Profit and Loss".

In this episode the Ultimate Fighting promoter is talking about building his book with companies he likes - Apple, RIM, Nike, etc - grabbing a screenshot of his Bloomie shows AAPL was in the $160s and RIM @ $130 at the time.

Gah...hard to imagine how this ends well.
He was also short companies he didn't like. Don't think I saw/heard which ones though

Bloomberg alone would be an outlay of £24 000( 8 traders x 2 [8 weeks] x £1500/month) for the 8 weeks, don't think they would get that set up for a demo bucket shop account. Also Bloomberg does not need advertising on BBC, they use other suitable media. Remember we are British we do not fuck around, or pretend, thats why our teeth are natural and our women let nature grow to its full extent in those sweet places :D

The money you mention could just come out of the budget for the show. Are you implying that you think they'll be making money to cover some of the expenses? I just can't see that happening.

If Lex is really a savvy trader then he would surely know better than to give actual cash to traders who have had 2 week's training - he might as well give it to charity.

why wouldn't it be real money? it's not like theyre going to lose THAT much. i bet the caterer for the crew alone for the show will cost more than they could potentially lose in those 2 months. when it comes to tv/movie production money is nothing (i know cause i worked in the biz for a number of years)
