Turning 10k to 2 million in 1 year - yes, it can be done, proof here

Quote from crgarcia:

One word says it all: blowup.

He's not an investor he's a gambler, and gamblers ALWAYS end up losing.
A real investor should never blowup his account.
Have significant drawdowns? Yes, it happens.
But blowing up? Never.

Typical ET responses denying and challenging the reality of one person's gains and making excuses of why it cant be done today.

There are a lot of people out there that turn 1000s into millions from stock trading...they just are not on ET.

Your second comment cancels your first. Your overall point is valid though, most people on ET are better at posting than trading. Claims to riches are a dime-a-dozen and are usually backed up with words alone, whiich are worthless to believe. I have only seen a handful of posters actually post their broker statements. Those people's success stories I believe, even though such statements can be faked. Doing so is my one toss at idealism.

Not like back in the day. Name one bubble that is still left.

Dan was born in 1953 and had a job working construction when he made these trades. He had blown his accounts many times before getting it right. He invested into the fund all he had left at the time which was 10 grand. This is a page out of the storybook.

port starting threads is just wrong

Don't get me wrong, if a trader wants to post his own photo in a thread, fine, but I think the bio page would be more appropriate.
