Turkish Recession

Turkey slipped into recession in the last quarter, with a Q4 contraction of 2.4% (the previous quarter's was 1.6%, so the shrinkage is getting worse.) The reason? The trade war with the U.S. that hit the Turkish lira, which made imports more expensive. BBC
 
With rising popularity of carry trade in the 1Q of 2019, Lira looks still undervalued. Anybody knows where we can trade lira safely to earn swaps?
 
Interesting development happening in Turkey... There Central Bank is battling shorter's in there currency it seems, spilling into equities. Short squeeze for the books, interesting remaining of week
