I rationalize this as research , which it kinda is really (vs. why the f do I even care) (it is fun though watching these clowns)... but I went thru the video and monitored the applause level for each candidate as they came on stage.
The pick up levels for the various mics were uniform, apparently whoever was running the sound board didn't touch anything, which is important because that can be deceiving.
Anyway... Mayor Pete got the most enthusiastic welcome. He's polling low there however. I dunno... he may do better than the polls think. He by far and away got the strongest welcome. Does that mean anything? Who knows. Its the people of Iowa. Odd bunch for sure.
Interestingly enough, Marianne got a warm send-off after her psychedelic rant. She needs a voice coach.
Oh, and speaking of which and far more importantly... Warren needs a voice coach too. In a big way.
I can't believe they don't spend money on that.
When your voice cracks while trying to deliver a pre-planned, hard hitting point meant to move the audience.... man you lose so much if your voice falters. Its sooo important. Her strategist... they need to work on that. Proper use of a strong voice inflection can move the polls imo.
That's why Kamhala rose in debate one, and its the same reason she fell after debate 2, she sounded like she was a whining baby. Its subtle stuff like this that counts way more than most realize.
If I was running Pocahontas' show... her ass would be getting voice lessons tomorrow.
