With the more than 20% surge in voting in the second round, the serious voters showed they don't vote for lunatics.

Boring debate and I doubt it moved the needle for any of them.
I expected it to be centered on Trump's proposal to ban muslims, but they seemed to talk endlessly about Patriot Act, data collection etc.
I think what happened is the others saw how well Trump's muslim ban was polling and knew better than to start lecturing him about religious freedom and american values.
Christie and Paul clearly do not like each other.
I continue to be puzzled by neo-con candidates, Rubio, Bush, Christie and Fiorina. As Paul remarked about Christie, if you want to start WW III, here's your guy. Do they really think more war is a winning platform? Or that voters long to restart the Cold War?
Fiorina seemed borderline unhinged. Her one memorable line was beyond stupid. She tried to draw a comparison between someone who had to make hard decisions, etc etc, ie her, and a"first term senator." The only problem was, she made all those tough decisions a decade ago and she got a good many of them disastrously wrong. The only decisions she's had to make lately are whether to take the 12:00 tee time or the 12:10.

It was a yawner for sure. I'm not as hot on Fiorina as I was a couple months ago. I just thought a fresh face would be helpful, but she's kind of a dud. I still like Christie. Maybe he's just my kinda' crazy. Interesting to watch Trump and Cruz cuddle each other like a couple of old pals. Seems they're eyeing each other as running mates, but I just don't see Trump playing in the 2nd chair. He'd be a terrible distraction as a V.P. for anyone. I'm still liking a Cruz/Christie ticket, if for no other reason than to see the left go into hysterics about the impending doom they would bring.
