Kurt Eichenwald alleges he was physically assaulted by a tweet

You remember Kurt Eichenwald?

Okay, so the name doesn’t ring a bell.

You remember the famous meltdown on Tucker Carlson’s Show followed by Tweet Storm?

The Blaze reports on the fallout on Twitter, Newsweek’s Kurt Eichenwald filing charges against Twitter user who caused him to have a seizure:

Newsweek senior writer Kurt Eichenwald announced Friday afternoon via Twitter that he is taking a hiatus from the social networking site following a bizarre appearance on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Thursday evening.

After the contentious conversation with Carlson, Eichenwald fired off dozens of since-deleted tweets, most of which were incoherent, in response to the interview. And one alt-right Twitter user, allegedly aware of the Newsweek reporter’s epilepsy, sent him a flashing gif with the words “You deserve a seizure for your posts.”

The troll’s account has since been suspended, but not before it caused Eichenwald to have a seizure, the writer’s wife claimed.

@jew_goldstein This is his wife, you caused a seizure. I have your information and have called the police to report the assault.

Early Friday afternoon, Eichenwald returned to his Twitter account to announce that he is working with his lawyers and law enforcement to identify and charge the anonymous social media user who attacked him.

For self-protection, I am taking a short twitter break. I will be spending that time with my lawyers & law enforcement going after 1 of u…

Again, I will not be seeing your comments or tweeting for awhile except to upload copies of litigation and police documents.

We should also recount Eichenwald's problems with child porn while he was at the New York Times.

Dallas Cops Have No Record Of Eichenwald Police Report

The Dallas Police Department informed The Daily Caller Monday that there is no police report or investigation into the alleged Twitter assault of Newsweek writer and Dallas resident Kurt Eichenwald.

A Twitter user under the handle “@jew_goldstein” tweeted an image Thursday with flashing colors saying Eichenwald deserved a seizure. Theresa Eichenwald, his wife, responded from his account, “@jew_goldstein This is his wife, you caused a seizure. I have your information and have called the police to report the assault.”

Kurt said Friday that police are investigating whether this is a federal crime as he said it is a “cross-state assault.” The Dallas Police Department told TheDC that there is no police report from those dates from either Eichenwald and that they cannot have an investigation without one.

The Daily Caller reached out to Eichenwald to ask him if he had filed a police report with the Dallas Police Department on Thursday and Friday, and he repeatedly refused to answer. He eventually said, “I am not interested in explaining to daily caller how the law works.”

Newsweek told The Daily Caller on Friday that they could confirm that what Theresa has said was true. Newsweek’s managing editor Ken Li told TheDC Monday they had no comment about the lack of a police report filed with the Dallas Police Department.

Li had no further comment regarding Eichenwald. “We’re not handling that, you’re going to have to talk to Kurt,” the Newsweek managing editor said.

Kurt Eichenwald is also a contributing editor at Vanity Fair. Vanity Fair has not returned a request for comment.

In the time since TheDC reached out to Eichenwald for comment, the Newsweek writer has uploaded documents in a civil case seeking to get records behind the “@jew_goldstein” Twitter account that allegedly caused his seizure.

Honestly, I cannot say that I am the least bit surprised by this guy's reaction. How much do you wanna bet the cadre of similarly "left bent" lunatics around here wouldn't have the exact same reaction as this guy? (dish it out but can't take it themselves).
