OK my frustration after weeks getting the sim to work has got to me..
Yes Bernard.. I stand reminded of the thread title.
No Bernard.. I do not work for Pats.. but I did work in IT so perhaps Im "spoilt" by my previous experiences with software for Enterprise class Testing tools which obviously must work...
If anyone can advise on the following Id be grateful:
X_Study tick chats..an opinion
is the latest version stable..anyone having huge problems with it?
Trailing stop loss orders working ok and not accessed via a plug-in right?
Connectivity consistent? anyone experiencing drop outs still?

The connectivity is excellent with Xtrader 7, although much of this has to do with your clearing firm. This is why I continue to pay the 1500 monthly rate.
Also, your screen resolution is not limited, it's just a recommendation. I use a much higher resolution than they recommend. Also, you won't notice a visual difference between 16 bit and 32 bit color, so why care about that?

thanks bondtrader, I was beginning to wonder if non responsive clicks at the DOM were grid sync issues caused by resolution changes from the recommended.. I guess that means a no, which is encouraging.. after reading more posts again here and elsewhere it seems there anomalies between the live & sim ...

TTSIM and live are often very different in behavior and also in features either in version 6 or 7; at least I would suggest you to use the TT demo that is also Pro -enabled. X_TRADER® 7.4.3 with X_STUDY⢠1.4 should be released in a few days.

OIC!!! its not actually live release yet... still in beta.. ok thats sorted out a huge issue for me... I was led to believe (falsly) that this was a live release... hence much of my frustration re info on it... ok I will have to slap the wrist of a techy who told me otherwise...

Maybe it's not still clear for you: 7.4.3 is a live, production release; a new demo based on 7.4.3 should be released in a few days. Hope it's clear.
Hi Bernard... well it is clearer now!... but unfortunately to no avail for me... after all my huffing and puffing and threat to blown TTs' house down my new clearers have confirmed they are still only sanctioning TTs version 6.X without X_Study.. thats too pricey for me so Im awaiting the alert and using the Pro-Mark tool I have become fond of.

Pro-Mark is more data efficient that way and will easily run on a P4 system without problems.

Yes, TT 7 hardware requirements are quite heavier than 6.x; so probably your clearers do not want to invest money in this project on their TT Gateway servers. Btw also Client PCs probably need an upgrade.
