I have used Ninjatrader for many years now with very minimal problems, but I ONLY use Ninjatrader for manual entry/exit discretionary trading (NO ATS work). I can use Ninjatrader for fast action scalping or longer term position trading without any issues and I do like the Zenfire data feed (I DO NOT use TT Fix Adapter feed....does not work at this time for proper bid/ask based volume calculations). I do think NT will expand their capabilities and resolve users issues with the new version 7 which is a move in the right direction. I have heard that "lookback" capability may be just around the corner too for those wanting to use Zenfire data for bid/ask volume computations......now that will be a HUGE improvement if they actually add that much needed feature soon.
I have used XTrader 7 for ATS work only, but I am now getting ready to move all the semi and fully automated trading I conduct over to TradeVec. TradeVec is still not yet widely known, but I like what I see so far as an alternative to the higher cost XTrader7 (for those looking for more of the "automation" type capabilities).
