Yea. ....You are gonna have to use DIM puts if you want to short it. You can probably buy the $250's for $2200/contract. You'll make money below $228/share. Should be pretty easy to make 7% or more by Friday expiration. Unless of course Elon announces he's building a flying car that burns seawater.
I was told if you used Think or Swim or TD broker, they have TSLA you can short.
My horrible broker Scottrade never has anything.
Also what's so special about Friday? Why you think it'll drop 7% by Friday?
Their earnings are already out. They missed estimates but the mrket obviously didn't care?

I'm sorry, that wasn't clear, ....not a 7% drop in the stock... I meant make 7% off of that put contract.
So the stock only has to drop about $1.60 (reasonable assumption imo,... in fact its 40 cents already on the way from the time I posted that,
) for you to make 7% on the contract. ( Friday is the expiration of that put).
And yeah, I have heard that about Scott Trade. But most of the brokers are out. Not sure about IB.
