The issue with these guys is the whole "the market can remain irrational far longer than you can remain solvent" thing. Heck, I've been buying puts on and off since SCTY when they were an (ostensibly) independent company, they've managed to hold on for a long time!So the stock is down 2% premarket after introducing the pregnant M3, I mean Y. They couldn't even start an 8 pm show on time and Elon was blubbering a lot about the old cars. The end seems to be near...

Bonus question: How the hell do they put 7 people into this? They must be Chinese...
Maybe vertical calls. Naked calls would have killed me with SCTY when they were acquired by TSLA.That was your first mistake. Make time work for you, sell vertical calls, or naked calls if you have the balls. I would say any calls 40-50 bucks above current price is pretty safe bet at this point...

For sure SCTY had a lot of shades of Enron with respect to the crazy proliferation of entities and questionable accounting. The car business isn't my line of business so I can't speak to what's going on now with that, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me.There done, there next debt issuance will yield 10 + % guaranteed... A lot of anger from current owners who lost money from all the price cuts they did, and then increased it back up by only 3 % on brand new cars
Rumour is the sales in Q1 are horrendous, they said they will start taking 2,500$ deposits for Model Y that will come in late 2020... The 2,500 isn't a deposit, it's a processing costs. I think Model Y is the excuse they wanted to float as the reason for new debt, something big going on behind the scenes... This might actually end up being close to Enron when it's all said and done
%%I would say below 50 by end of year, everyone is leaving the ship even more so when recession sell-off starts... Q1 2019 numbers will be so bad, it's impossible for them to ever pay back any debt without using new debt to pay it... They operate at a steep loss per car after the massive price cuts they did
