TSLA bitcoin purchase.

Meaning? You are not trolling me this morning, are you?
And no, nothing new, the well known limitations of bitcoin being a good payment currency. But that was not the main point of the post I criticized nor my own point. In fact it was my point that the two are disconnected.

Sure, let’s see the criticisms and if there is anything new or just more broken record bleeping by a never-coiner.

I am busted, lol. Thanks for being a good sport.

Note that in the year since the pandemic started, Elon Musk's personal net worth has increased by $100B on paper. That's $100 billion with a "B".

Also notice that no one on social media groups him in with the "bad people" like hedge fund managers, the Federal Reserve, Bezos, white CEOs, fossil fuel executives, etc.

His act is carefully constructed to ensure things stay that way - having Tesla accept "the currency of the little people" is all a part of this marketing ploy.

Bitcoin transferred that crown to doge. Yes, doge is ridiculous yet absurdly fun to make money with.

This thread should have been titled: Cult leader buys into another cult :)

How’s that short position on BTC going?

I am not stupid to short a cult, be it Tesla or BTC.

How about that purchase you did back when BTC was 5K? That coffee that costed you 45 bucks?

Use Bitcoin as a currency, I dare you! :)

I see this more as Elon trying to grab attention and gun the share price than anything else.

What's interesting to me is that TSLA's open PnL from this can fluctuate as much in a week as the profits they report in an entire quarter. Those who study market history might be reminded of Japan in the late 1980s, when toaster factories started to make vastly more from real-estate speculation than they did from making toasters... until the tide went out.

BTC ->Deposit as collateral ->earn interest -> ever-flowing cups of fancy coffee.

Great historical perspective. How true. An economy flush with vasts amounts of money chasing bad investments is exactly what brought down the Japanese bubble and it will, as always in history, bring down this bubble as well, eventually.

One could say the same about fiat.

All fiat goes to zero, eventually.
