The union is launching a suit that has no chance of success... in fact a suit that is prohibited by federal law according to some pundits... a suit that in no way benefits the members, wastes money and simply serves to promote the union. In the meantime the union has put away none of the money it collects to pay the union members a portion of their salaries in the event of any type of work stoppage, but has wasted all of it driving politics via PACs.

That's a problem FOR unions, how are unions the problem?

Whoa, wait a minute. What am I watching? I thought the government was shutdown. Who are these people being sworn in to the senate? Are they not "the government". Yes, several thousand people who do some work for the nation have been fucked, you know, the commoners, but the government, the actual government, those motherfuckers are still there to do their damage. The government never shuts down, and oh, make sure to take a good look at your paycheck this week, and every week to come. Your "shutdown" government will still be collecting taxes and the actual government, they'll still be collecting their paychecks.
