The market...much like his Presidency and this country, has gone no where....
I agree with the market but his presidency and the country have both gone south.
Trumpy is rooting for the success of the market and for returns to those people who are smart enough to invest in it.
He has $172 million in stocks and bonds which is low (about 5%) if you consider he’s worth $3.5B.
There is not much really in it for the Donald.

Payrolls surge by 304,000, smashing estimates despite government shutdown
I was not the one that bragged about the amazing growth in the stock market this past year...
Also I am not a believer that the government shutdown would affect payrolls in the private sector anyway. Contractors in D.C. area got hosed with no pay or backpay but rest of the private sector really did not care.
