When the weather is shit sometimes I can barely heat water and throw some instant in it. The good news is that there are some good instant coffees these days.I'm afraid this is reality, they are also shit at making chocolate but make good caco, processing.. Hence many Colombians don't like chocolate as when kids they had sugary plastic texture crap like Jet brand (not much worse than American chocolate). There are a couple of companies who do a decent artisan chocolate but most of the good stuff here is imported from Spain or Lindt etc. Things are changing though.
I'm sure some cafes roast their own beans or import as it is not all acidic coffee and many love it, I just don't.
Gets me going for trading in the am.

I have wondered about cacao too. Why does it have to go north all the way to Scharffen Berger before it is considered good chocolate?
