If Trump gets his way he will be putting big tariffs on any imported goods. OK so US workers get to make fridges, TVs etc. again but at what cost to the consumer.
Trump may just be hyping up this to get better trade deals with China etc. And don't think he won't be bargaining with China and Russia to look the other way when he flattens North Korea.

He can. Only for some bulky items like fridge. But how many new fridges per year the US would need, if without any population growth for new houses. Probably not a viable policy!

I think his point was your dismissive reductionism. This is about as useful to the discussion as asserting, 2 + 2 = 4.

Politics is the study of human interaction surrounding things or ideas of (perceived value). This inseparable from economics.

If I may expand, I believe his was an implicit request that conversation be kept to meaningful discussion, not AM talk radio dismissives.

Have you ever considered the logistics of keeping your money safe in the absence of government? Not that I disagree, but government is by nature an instrument of the rich to protect their divergent interests against the poor...there are those who learned this lesson well to turn it against the rich, but that's a temporary state of affairs until the new found wealth entrenches.

voluntary exchange is a indivisible freedom of every human... Government only steps in to benefit one group at the expense of another netting a negative because of the overhead. I can believe how you can not see that stating that capitalists are greedy? that is marxist... Everyone is greedy, communists and socialists are even more greedy... as they believe they know what is best for other people, and they as well historically murder and rape the society of freedom

The Trump admin is severely testing the US's friends and allies by petulantly insisting they waste even more of their hard won money on weapons. One can only guess but I think we all know exactly who is offering expensive submarines etc.
Why Dump is putting so much strain on it's only worthwhile ally - NATO, seems extra foolish or mad.
