The American media have basically buried the fact that even the highly partisan democrat DA's office in Palm Beach County has dropped the supposed battery case against Trump's campaign manager. You may recall it was wall to wall cable news for a couple of weeks. Pretty much any republican woman who was supporting a different candidate got on her high horse about the "thuggish" behavior and all were of course set up on the Megyn Kelly drama hour to denounce Trump. The height of the absurdity was the group of republican female "journalists" who signed a joint letter. Most of them were unheard of, but the list included Mary Katherine Hamm, who was an assistant moderator in one of the debates. No conflict there, right?
Anyway, the DA's report was surprisingly objective. Perhaps Trump knew what he was doing spreading his campaign contributions around. The DA's report noted that a successful prosecution was highly doubtful in light of the fact that the complainant had left the official media area and invaded the protective bubble around Trump. Contrary to her police statement, she had clearly made contact with Trump, causing him to pull his arm back. His campaign manager's actions not only were not illegal but they were appropriate under the circumstances. The DA's office also noted the widely circulated pics of bruises on Fields' arm were taken two days after the alleged incident and that pics taken that night after the incident showed no bruising. They seemed to be implying that she had faked the bruises, which seems possible considering the minimal contact. This reporter has a prior history of making unsubstantiated claims of abuse that went nowhere. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...say-reacting-touched-Trump-did-needed-do.html
