Trump seems to actually believe this. The truth is that most will drop him if he starts backstabbing them. It's not like people supported him because they really liked him personally. They saw him as the only candidate taking the American position on issue after issue. The fact that he came across as a bullying asshole didn't hurt him that much. We kind of liked the idea of turning him loose on the media and dems.
If he is going to be Jeb Bush's alter ego however, that isn't cutting it. We can get that with Pence and be spared all the drama. Trump cannot afford to lose even 1% of his base. All they have to do is stay home and it is Game Over. You're fired amigo. Hit the road.

It sounds like he is isolated, either by his own specific effort or by his personality. Either way, it makes me concerned nothing substantial will get done before the midterms.
If the Republicans fail to hold the House or the Senate, we could ask him how he would like his duck? “Lame.” might be his, appropiate, response.

So now Trump has apparently told the Gang of 6 to shove their DACA amnesty. LOL. You cannot make this stuff up.
Maybe Trump hasn't lost a step after all. He likes a lot of craziness with people fighting for his attention, then he blurts out something outrageous that guarantees he dominates the news for a week.
I can promise you that he wins if the dems/media want to harp on this shithole comment for days. Most voters agree with him and are asking the same question he did, even if they wouldn't admit it to a pollster or focus group.

Keeping terrorists out, and supreme court justices who follow the constitution are 2 of the biggest issues for me.

If a new party were to form our the democrats changed I could see not voting for Trump if he continues to betray the base. Although today he seems to be pulling back on his Amnesty talk.

Who does? Certainly not republican voters. In the republican presidential primaries, most of them topped out in low single digits. We've officially had it with them and their shit. They can retire their unofficial campaign slogan: "we may be loathsome but the alternative is worse."
They hold their prissy noses and refuse to vote for our guys after they win the primary. Time to return the favor. If just a handful of whites stay home, they lose. They need to start remembering that.
