Democrats won every statewide race in New Mexico last year; in Nevada, they seized a Senate seat as well as the governorship. In New Hampshire, Democrats won control of both state legislative chambers.
Trump’s unpopularity was a big factor in that success, Democrats say.

I guess he just doesn't grab them. But not for a lack of trying.
I do find it hard to believe that a truly accurate poll that includes conservatives and undecided voters would have Warren ahead of Trump. She is as polarizing to the right as Clinton was. That is what makes me think this polls have flaws in their cross sampling.
Maybe, maybe not. The Democratic/undecided base is bigger than the Trump-tolerant base.
