A new working paper from the National Bureau of Economic Research found that excess death rates in Ohio and Florida — or deaths above what would be expected — were 76 percent higher among Republicans than Democrats from March 2020 to December 2021. "The gap in excess death rates between Republicans and Democrats is concentrated in counties with low vaccination rates and only materializes after vaccines became widely available," the Yale researchers report.

A study published in the journal Health Affairs in June found a similar partisan gap at the county level. David Leonhardt at The New York Times dubbed this phenomenon "Red COVID." Over the spring and summer, the partisan "gap did narrow somewhat," as predicted, he writes. "But it has begun growing again in the past two months."

I posted indirectly about this in another thread involving "Indigenous Americans" and other minority ethnic groups near their lows or near their norm of deaths prior to the Pandemic by comparing two charts...one chart show the deaths excluding Covid and the other chart show deaths from Covid.

Why ?

Fewer politics and better behavior/understanding by minorities that they are the most vulnerable ethnic groups to Covid even after vaccination. Simply, they're being the most careful among all groups (white, indigenous, hispanic, black, pacific islander, asian et cetera) who are all taking the same damn vaccines.

I think part of the problem is the messaging by the CDC that has made White individuals more vulnerable in a highly polarized political environment about race. I even see it here at Elitetrader.com with certain individuals concentrating on a certain minority group versus another minority group that they forget we're still in a Pandemic that's trying very hard to get to an Endemic.

A few days ago I was on a conference call with my brothers (one in South Dakota and one in Kentucky) with my mom that's White and living independently in Chicago on the northside in her condo...
  • She recently lost a few close elderly friends and they were White while her minority friends are doing very well.
Ignore the politics, keep wearing your face mask, and keep your hand santizer with you (use it after leaving a public building). There are other problems (diseases) on the rise in Chicago that impacts the elderly (e.g. RSV).

It's going to be a very tough winter in some places in the United States. Therefore, we need to protect all races in America and put aside all the political bullshit to try to minimize this pending winter of deaths as much as possible.

Last of all, overall since vaccination...we're doing much better in all race groups but White individuals are still lagging as in more deaths.

I have other charts for another thread that compare the deaths by vaccination status as in those vaccinated versus those not vaccinated... a scary chart like the above. I'll post it later in another thread when I get the updated statistics.

You will then see which ET members are still Covidiots that keep posting the same garbage about vaccines...as in which ET members are hurting their own race.

P.S. Earlier in the year I did warn everyone here that the polarization of races will eventually reverse the death numbers after I saw minority groups turning the tide against Covid late last year.

So you are unaware that people who have been vaccinated also get sick and spread the virus? It doesn't matter if you are vaccinated or not! Being vaccinated does not stop the spread of the virus and never will. But I think you already know that. You don't appear to have a non-functioning brain.

My sister has been vaccinated and she has got sick at least 4x from what I remember. I have never gotten sick. I think getting vaccinated has ruined her immune response.
