I've come to the conclusion that you're not a lawyer nor do you practice law in the state of Georgia. Thus, you have a misunderstanding of the "self defense law" and "citizen arrest law" that was in place last year at the time of the shooting.

In addition, you've posted misinformation before here at the forum involving other issues (e.g. Gavin Newsom Covid vaccination injury) without owning up to your spread of misinformation.

P.S. I know the CourtTV is real although I've never watched it...it must be one of those cable TV channels not available in my country.

  • Glynn County police officer Robert Rash testified Friday as the trial of three white Georgia men charged with Ahmaud Arbery's death entered its sixth day
  • Officer Rash had responded to a call at a home under construction in the Satilla Shores neighborhood of Brunswick, Georgia, the night of February 11, 2020
  • Jurors were shown bodycam footage of Gregory and Travis McMichael searching for Arbery after spotting him at the house
  • Travis had chased Arbery - although his identity was not known at the time – after seeing him at the property, the jury heard
  • He then went back to get his phone and pistol before returning to the house with his father
  • Gregory 65, is heard in footage telling the cop: 'Travis just walked down there,' referring to the back of the property. He added: 'He's armed by the way'
  • Rash, with his gun drawn, can be seen on the video going into the house to start searching after back-up officers had arrived
  • Gregory McMichael, 65; his son Travis McMichael, 35; and their neighbor William 'Roddie' Bryan, 52, are on trial for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery

The last few witnesses were McMichael supporters from the neighborhood testifying about the crime wave and previous attempts by other neighbors to investigate the break-ins.

Several were not white.

Yesterday McMichael did fairly well on direct
The pundits / racists all were saying just wait for the cross.
I thought the cross was fairly weak

I never said anything about a crime wave.

Yet, now that you've mentioned such. I have lived in many neighborhoods in the world. Usually when there's a high-profile murder / shooting in a neighborhood...there is a lot of media attention in the neighborhood including private security to help the residents maintain a normal life as much as possible.
  • Typically the crime rate drops to zero for a while until after the court case is concluded in those types of neighborhoods especially if it's not a big city...there's just too many cameras and too many eyes along with people being more careful in locking their car doors / homes.
Then months or years later after the conclusion of whatever put the town on the map...the prior crimes return and residences become suspicious of friends of a neighbor or strangers passing through to get a look at the house or street where the crime (murder/shooting) occurred.

We are very curious individuals...people will eventually drive from out of state to that street just to get a look at where it all happened. :rolleyes:
