House Dems nearly matched Trumps vote total,something that has never happened in the history of this country.

Obama 2008-69 million
Gop 2010-45 million

Trump 2016-63 million
Dems 2018-61 million

a 20% correction isn't exactly 'crash and burn' though.

I have posted elsewhere a few times... the actions differ so much between 2017 and 2018, was mostly due to investor sentiment.

I won't recite in detail but you can look thru my posts regarding the forexIG sentiment differences thru 2017 and 2018... corrections happened when my pro boys see there were enough short term speculators in the game.

ok I have to be honest to say that I haven't studied these numbers... ok so 2018 looked good for the dems (perhaps)..doesn't necessarily translate to a 2020 white house win though... the fundraising numbers look to be in Trumps favor...

the biggest problem for the dems, is the lack of fresh ideas.. taxing the rich to give out free shit... look at the field now, everybody is just doubling down on the old rotten idea and is already disconnected from even the moderate part of the dem party... how is anyone gonna win the general, without some significant flip flops from his/her primary positions.

lol that was funny... but whats wrong with sentiment.

I'd argue that short of the 50% hair cuts we had in 2000 and 2008 alike... sentiment is probably the biggest factor affecting movements in the span of weeks/months.

look - the fair value of the SP should be 5000 right now - says the cheap money lol... the question is how we get there, without carrying too much dead weight (aka short term speculators)... and my pro boys want the maximum efficiency of getting there and taking the maximum profit... therefore these shakes of 10-20% are necessary, for technical reasons! I actually believe these corrections have very little to do with the underlying economic conditions, regardless what the narratives maybe.

So do I! Which is why I hang onto my longs for as long as I do! There's no recession coming yet, but the markets sometimes now want you to believe otherwise! It is maddening. And it is killing me softly. (NO, I am not linking that bloody song).

The DNC and the 5 top democrats have out raised Trump and The RNC.Democrat money is being split between many candidates but overall democrats have out raised Trump and The RNC.

Hey! Did you even see the debate the other night? The Dems are a mess right now. Are you honestly saying having Warren or Harris in office is better than what we have now?! Let's not forget Bernie who wants free college for everyone out of our pockets. Are you really for open borders - free health care for illegals???? You seem like a rational guy. I'm not Trump's biggest fan, but he's not doing a bad job (for now..)

I actually wouldn't mind Biden though. He doens't seem like a far left nutjob like the rest.

True but it does look good imo.Dems almost got as many votes in a mid term as Trump.Republicans never came close to matching Obamas vote total in any Obama mid terms.
