Trump 'will not even consider' renaming Army bases named for Confederate leaders

All that is being lost is a fictionalised history of the South made by some socialite ladies, taking off in the early 20th century.

There is no moral authority in how these were erected.

Don't waste the public spaces on a fake past, put up real people (who were usually killed due to the fake past).

Pseudohistory is not just about Ancient Aliens and Antisemitic Khazar theory and others. Trump himself joined in on the trend with his "River of Blood" memorial plaque to a civil war battle that never happened (at a golf course).

There’s fringe extremists on both sides. Doesn’t mean it’s a rallying cry for everyone who lives in the south.

Yes I said a group because I have spent time in the South and it is not the majority or most by any means. Most Southerners don't even pay it any mind but I think only the few vocal ones object to seeing their beloved rebel leaders taken down haha.

Polls consistently show 55-90% of republicans support the monuments staying up.Confederacy symbols are quite prevalent in the south on homes,cars clothes etc
