Trump: We've had 'one of the most successful 13 weeks' in history

President Trump on Thursday insisted he’s had “one of the most successful” starts as president in U.S. history, dismissing the chaos and stalled legislative agenda that has marred his first 100 days in office.

"I think we’ve had one of the most successful 13 weeks in the history of the presidency,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One.

The president cited positive numbers on job creation, negotiations on presidential aircraft prices and his planned military buildup.

Trump’s first weeks in office have been anything but smooth.

The president continues to be dogged by a federal investigation into whether his associates cooperated with Russia in its efforts to meddle in the 2016 presidential election.

The controversy led him to oust retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn as national security adviser after it was revealed Flynn misled senior White House officials about his conversations with Russia's ambassador to the U.S.

Trump's signature executive order temporarily blocking travelers from a number of Muslim-majority countries has twice been blocked by the courts.

And GOP leaders were forced to pull their plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare in the House after it ran into resistance from rank-and-file Republicans. That resulted in a second staff shakeup, in which the president’s deputy chief of staff left the White House to work with outside pro-Trump groups.

The president's chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, was also removed from his permanent role on the National Security Council Principals Committee on Wednesday.

Asked if another staff shakeup could happen, Trump said he thought the administration had “already shaken things up.”

Friday will mark 11 weeks since Trump was inaugurated as president.

That is absolutely one of the funniest things any President has ever muttered. I'm sure that any asylum psychiatrist would have many equally funny stories to relate. But this one is for us to enjoy and savor.

The guy is crude, rude, monstrously unqualified, a horrible embarrassment, but you've got to admit he's awfully damn funny. ha ha ha ha

WW2.1?

A FURIOUS Russia has sent an ominous warning to the US, declaring the military action against Syria has sent the two superpowers dangerously close to war.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said U.S.-Russian relations were “completely ruined” in a Facebook post in response to Washington firing 59 cruise missiles on the Shayrat air base.

Mr Medvedev said the US strikes were illegal and were “one step away from military clashes with Russia”.

The damning words have come as Moscow also sent a warship to confront American vessels in the Mediterranean.

Adding to the tension between the two superpowers, Moscow has suspended communication on a specialised military hotline with the US designed to prevent conflict with the US following the air strikes in Syria.

The “deconfliction line” between Russia and the US has been described as an imperfect but essential tool in times of tension. It’s a regular phone line staffed with a Russian-speaking colonel on the US side and is operated from a US base in Qatar speaking to Russian counterparts in Syria, AFP reports.

The line enabled the US to warn the Kremlin of impending air strikes on Thursday and was also used in February to stop a Russian strike on US jets it had mistaken for IS forces in a region of northern Syria.

If you listen to the liberal media, Obama was the greatest thing ever to happen to the United States.

More liberal drivel. Yawn.

Actually obama is only looking good because everything trump has done to unwind what obama did (healthcare) has failed or obama did better (deportation of illegals) until last night.
