trump is an underestimated force..... I also believe there are republicans who are willing to endorse/support/vote for him just to give the GOP the middle finger. Luckily over the past few years the support is from a smaller further right portion of the party but trump is literally the large elephant weighing on everyone in the party.
Every GOP candidate or potential is having late night meetings week in and week out trying to figure out what to do about trump.
They all learned from Hillary what happens if you simply ignore him and hope he goes away or commits political suicide...does not turn out well given the social media electorate we have.
