Trump VP Selection

Excellent for Dems totally agree. JD was emotional pick, he would fare Ok if Biden was running, not anymore. He is now a liability. MAGA loves Trump more than JD, he literally brings 0 to the table.

brilliant strategy from the senile dark Brandon. Maga is stuck and Kamala ow has an opening.

It was a cocky pick by Trump. Seems like Rubio, Burgum, or Scott would have all been better. I doubt they have any dumb statements demeaning childless women.

Maybe these two guys picked Vance? They don't seem to have found luck fixing their mistake.

Eight years ago. A story that starts out funny and then gets really, really depressing.

As I wrote earlier in the thread, Vance brings nothing to the table other than blind obedience to Trump. That's all Trump cares about, he had no interest in second opinions or critique. Vance is a yes man ass kissing opportunist. Weak. If Kamala goes full on Commie with her pick this is a real horse race to the end. Go big sista, no point in playing safe at this stage of the game.

I don't agree w/ this part. Opportunism always plays a role, the q is just how much. But yeah... going full commie is an option for Harris. It looks like it will be a "turn out" election and the candidates need to keep and expand their respective bases. That's also why I think JD was a decent choice.

she is too smart for that. Yes smart. She will pick someone who will bring her one of swing states.

That's just it, Vance doesn't really expand the republican base. He doesn't hurt it, but no help.
Like you I want to see a massive turnout and only a really sharp contrast does that. The country needs to decide. Full on big government sugar daddy redistribution and all the bullshit that comes with it, or old school MAGA stay in your lane, you get what you get. The potential outlier is RFK. He could size the moment with a solid VP pick and message, this is way too important of an election to go with these two maniacs being offered by the establishment. Whatever the case the country needs to pick a decisive direction and do so in a big way with a huge turnout like we've never seen. The commies need to see it as their moment to change everything, the MAGA see it as a last ditch effort to save the country, or independents to say these fucks are crazy, the worm brain seems the safe and sensible choice.
