He's going to backpedal on the masks, and say he always knew it was a great idea, and has been saying so all along, and it was his idea. He knew to do it before the NIH did, because he's so smart (and he'll point at his own head).
Watch for it.
Yes, he is also going to tout a second round of stimulus but the questions are inevitably going to turn to the spread of Covid and why he is missing in action.
And his fan club will swallow it in one gulp, open their mouths afterwards, look up, and give him a bright-eyed, ear to ear smile.
Later, they'll regurgitate it in message forums all over the internet.
Complete and total waste of time. First, Trump is a complete disaster when he tries to go adhoc. Never works for him. Makes shit up regularly and contradicts himself either on the spot, or on things he said in the past (as if there was no way to look anything up in the age of the internet).
Second, even if he were the best speaker on the planet and one of the smartest people, walking into a room of people who are determined to put you in the worst possible light has absolutely no upside. But he's not even smart enough to see that - or he doesn't care because his ego tells him everyone wants to - no, needs to - hear from him.

He was getting reamed by that FOX interview and poll numbers were falling so this is his chance to claim:

more tests than any other country
that he is inventing the vaccine
that he always said masks were needed
that it will all be gone by September and kids should be in school
and no medical people can speak unless they repeat his bullshit

Now that his campaign rallies have been cancelled since nobody is showing up to them - we are now back to Trump's "coronavirus" briefings. He is simply going to use them as a replacement for campaign rallies; bashing Biden, spreading nonsense, and trying to make himself look like a "winner". Nothing of substance related to COVID-19 policy will be provided in these briefings.
