In one of the Hitler videos I posted in my thread on the subject recently, one of the reasons many Germans were ready to follow the monster was because they wanted to break things (systems, institutions).

For clarity, and it’s hard to be clear because the omnibus and Covid Bill were joined and passed together, much of this “foreign spending“ is exactly what the White House requested new in the budget.

Now to Covid, the state and local funding certainly was a sticking point and it’s fair to say so but Democrats were certainly there in terms of stimulus, as they are now.

If we were to just press the clear button and bifurcate the omnibus bill shenanigans and ask "which party would be or would have been willing to just pass a covid relief standalone bill" then I think we know what the answer to that would have been or was.

Tomorrow a UC will be brought to the house floor to increase payments to a whopping $2000 (that’s a lot of stimulus by any measure). The question is if a Republican house member will come back to town to block it and forever be known as the Grinch that stole Christmas, and if so, who will it be??? Massie, Scalise,... Crenshaw?
