What liberal professors do not understand is there is only so much you can peddle as lies to students. Parents want the best for their sons and daughters. I urged a number to instead, save their monies or loans they take out and start a family business. That would teach their kids the correct values and they will have a lifetime of legacy having a successful business for their kids.
They no longer need to depend on any liberal business to give them a 9 to 5 job and pay them peanuts while, the liberals enrich themselves! Be the boss! And with pretty much all information now available in the internet, and online schools flourishing, how long before these liberal lying professors find themselves out of a job? Who really wants to pay for lies anyways?

Naïve people expect the media, particularly the prestige coastal media, to purvey objective facts in a reasonably non-biased manner. Obviously, the media fail miserably at that role, but it is one they no longer even attempt to convince people they are fulfilling. They see themselves as an elite, charged with shaping and guiding the opinions of low information voters. Their mistake was to drink too much of their own kool-aid and get so far out of step with the majority of the country that they are now distrusted and despised.

I think we make a mistake in longing for a time when the media did fulfill its responsibility in an unbiased fashion. CBS News icon Walter Cronkite was a fervent leftist, but he had a reassuring manner and hid his bias fairly well until he retired. So he was called "the most trusted man in America", which probably says more for the cluelessness of his viewers than it does to his dishonesty.

Media have always been biased. The fabled movie Citizen Kane laid bare the desire of media magnates to control the public.

Having a "free" press is a double-edged sword. We don't want government controlling the news, but when the entire media are all on one side of the boat, it is obviously problematic. The one counterweight, alternative and internet media, are now under vicious assault by Silicon Valley monopolists who are clearly on a mission to get rid of all conservative internet media. They have already bought off much of the republican congress and Conservatism, Inc think tanks, so all we hear is "they are private companies, you know" and "we can't tell them how to run their businesses."

The media are not all that n one side of the boat. The left wing media is minuscule compared to the right wing media juggernauts. Fox is the largest news network and drudge is much larger than most traditional outlets.

You guys problem is you refuse basic facts like climate change and you have dangerous views on guns and things like that. Most reasonable and educated people are going to report that the earth is getting warmer and guns are dangerous. Those are facts. So you tell yourselves the media is biased because you prefer to live in a fantasy land.

Even Fox News now has a number of liberals so, at best, it is more balanced than the other extreme liberal networks, CNN, MSNBC as well as the major networks, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.
