My niece's brother-in-law got it in July. Luckily for him he only spent 4 days in ICU. He has 2 teenage daughters that both tested positive. Younger one no symptoms, older like a bad cold. Oh what about their mother (?), she died 2 years ago from breast cancer.
Stating facts is not boasting.
I wear a face mask when I am around other people I don't know - so no I don't wear a mask while driving.
Are previously healthy people queuing up for ventilators ? We don't que, but I'll check with my nearest hospital and get back to you.
Any more stupid questions?
PS with the time difference currently between here and there I'd say you work the graveyard shift - which is fitting. Fries with that burger?
Its a Pandemic...
Everyone's life has change and they either personally know someone that's been infected / sick or heard about someone that's a friend of a friend.
Some people adapt to the restrictions after the lockdowns were lifted and others are not able to adapt...the latter use social media (e.g. Elitetrader.com) to bitch and whine about what's occurring in their country or wish they were in some other country.
I've lived in a country (South Korea) in the 90's and wearing a face mask because of the pollution problems was normal in which most of the population wore a face mask.
Now that I live in Québec, Canada while still maintaining residences in United States and France...I truly have no sympathy for people complaining about wearing a face mask and complaining about restrictions because a minority of people refuse to follow the health guidelines to have the restrictions removed.
Maybe another reason for my lack of sympathy is due to my own hospitalization / coma / life support with a deadly airborne illness back in 2016 when I witness first hand before / after the hospitalization how easy it was to become ill from Pneumonia in a community that had no restrictions / no outbreaks...
- Many of the same idiots posting about their disbelief social media back in 2016 are the same ones posting their disbelief here in 2020 about the Pandemic.
- Those of us that are traders, self employed, retire or has survived a deadly illness / hospitalization / quarantine...we're the last people that should be bitching & whining.
They understand that people are becoming sick because others don't want to wear a face mask, don't want to wash hands and don't want to social distance. They don't want to do what it takes to have the restrictions removed or minimized.
Their governments sees it too which is why some did a full lockdown and others saw that their citizens are more responsible in a Pandemic...those countries decided to do only a lockdown lite because their citizens are more socially responsible and already doing something in the culture that's normal (e.g. wearing face mask because of pollution problems, staying home when not at work or very little multiple family dwellings).
Same here...I wear a face mask when I am around others along with washing my hands as often as possible throughout the day and always have a hand sanitizer (small bottle) in my pocket for places that don't have one.
I trade from home and we don't have any restrictions while driving but there's restrictions for those using public transportation (e.g. bus) and problematic restaurants / bars / cafes have been restricted due to their inability to manage their own capacity.
The sad part is when hospitals reach capacity...this is when it really becomes a big problem because other people that need care while not Covid-19 positive are then pushed aside...back at the end of the line sort'uv speak and other to scare to go to the hospital to seek care for fear of catching Covid-19 because they know they are one of those with an underlying medical condition.
Other than that, all the essential businesses are open in my area.
That's the nature of a Pandemic...survival of the fittest.
