Trump tests positive for Covid 19

Wait, what? You think Trump is a Republican? You call Biden a socialist? You guys have absolutely no clue what these terms mean, except parrot Fox talking heads.
A good 1/3 of the Republican party and the American Chamber of Commerce have repudiated Trump for a reason; he at best is an oligarch, openly picking corporate winners and losers based on how they impact him directly. There's not an once of traditional Republican values in him, only cronyism, with the evangelicals, the white nationalists, even his role is used to fill the coffers of his various hotels, golf courses, etc. Yet you would prefer to elect that guy because he cuts you deals to make more money rather than consider a guy who spent his entire life in service of country whose goal is to reduce the stunning imbalance in wealth for the sake of a healthier, more prosperous America? Has your life been only about self serving goals?!?

This is why I sometimes refer to Trump as the Trojan Horse (reform party) to the Republican party.

Ironically, its starting to look like Hope Hicks is the Trojan Horse to the Trump Administration.

$750 in Fed Taxes is a fortune, right? Not even Mitt Romney got that kind of carry interest sweetheart rate.
Another drain the swamp promise Chumpie broke - to end completely the carried interest expense deduction that Wall Street loves so much.

I’m not particularly far left, but count me as one of them. After how he’s handled this virus with no remorse for people’s lives nobody deserves to die from it more than he does. Not to mention how he treats the people who live in places that don’t support him like CA or Puerto Rico. He’s truly an awful president that doesn’t even try to represent the whole country. Who knows how many people have suffered or died, because of his complete lack of empathy towards others.
I'm a 4-decade Res Publica(n), and have been aware of Orange Dump since 1984, and thought him a grotesque clown then, and have seen no reason to change that assessment since. Your assessment (FWIW) matches my own.

I pray that one day, MY Republican Party will find its testicles once again, and act like they give a shit. I'm not *seeing* it, but .... I can hope.

I hope they do too. Thing is that you and I have far more beliefs in common than either you and the enthusiastic Trump voters or me and the enthusiastic Sanders voters. Yet we claim different parties. Hmmm.....

I doubt it. The left views Trump as very beatable in the upcoming election. His replacement, Mike Pence, on the other hand is a much more smooth politician plus would get the sympathy vote.
Pence "smooth"? As an Indiana resident, let me say that Pence is like polished concrete -- great if you want to slide around, but denser-than-shit if you're trying to get some movement or thinking. As a presidential possible, I would rank Pence as to be worse than Orange Dumpf.

No surprise. We pay attention to the bottom line. Economics. Accounting. "Maths." That is pretty boring stuff to rabid ideologues, no matter their stripe.

A political party will act according to the voters that elect them. IOW, the GOP has become what you have demanded they become ... not you personally, per se.

As long as guys like Mitch McConnell are running the show, the show will be about his personal agenda.

You can hope that someone else will spark change; or you can be that spark.

Seriously: good luck!
