Very true...a silver lining because the cancellations will most likely prevent others from getting infected and possibly save lives.

Do you think Democrats will hand the virus better? When trump banned on China travel, Democrats opposed. Also take a look at what The virus has done in Europe and US cities/states under control by Democrats. Basically this virus is unstoppable in western free world, no matter right or left party is in power.
I prefer to look at whom will lie about what involving the Pandemic and whom will be transparent so that the citizens can be independent to make inform decisions about themselves and loved ones.
The first signs about whom would lie and not be transparent is the person that calls it a HOAX. That's a person not willing to give me all the info to protect myself...that's someone I can not trust to care about me nor my family.
By the way, Republican states in the U.S. are hit heavy with Coronavirus and deaths.
I have a nice demographic graphs that compare not only the Republican states to the Democratic states involving the Coronavirus...I have one of the major cities in comparison too.
Guess what, Coronavirus does not care about our political parties. Yet, it does statistically stay away from those that wear a face mask, social distance and wash hands.
By the way, Coronavirus infections/deaths has hit heavily the dense populated areas. Unfortunately, many (not all) of those areas are under Democratic control. Yet, comparing the per capitol...they're all hit hard equally in reference to the heavily populated area regardless which political party is in control.
- Simply, the Coronavirus does not care about our political parties nor whom you plan to vote for.

Literally almost anyone from any party would handle it better. Republican Gov DeWine from Ohio handled it far better, Republican Gov Hogan from MD handled it far better, a slew of governors of both parties handled it far better. Denying the best advice of medical experts, as imperfect as it is, has been Trump's failure and he owns it.
There is no false equivalence here, the U.S. is an abject and utter failure compared to any country on a per capita basis and Trump owns that. It's not a partisan issue, it's an issue of Trump being a narcissist with a middle school intellect and mentality...full stop.

Problem with the Regeneron drug is that its only a cocktail of anti bodies. These have proven not to work as a vaccine against covid..but rather helps older people with secondary health factors to raise an immune response. It is hard to mass produce and no contracts have been setup for mass production facilities. Its use is a narrow group.
It helps with quick recovery...however anti bodies of covid are known not to last more than a few weeks. So this methodology really cant be used as a vaccine. It wouldn't last more than 2 weeks. But it does help older people with other serious health issues to recover. It could be used in nursing homes and ICU units of people already infected.
The news that this is the only drug given to the group near trump that have been exposed or might be exposed tells us that FDIC does not trust any of the other current vaccines that are in advanced stages of development. Its looking like they don't trust the side effects of AstraZeneca or Pfizer's drugs and don't like Moderna's outcomes as of right now.
