Trump's Former Press Secretary Shows DNC A Troubling Text With Melania

Stephanie Grisham, Trump’s former White House press secretary, came out strongly against former President Donald Trump on Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention.

Grisham started her short speech by saying that not only was she a Trump supporter, she was also a “true believer” and one of his “closest advisers,” and that Trump’s family was her family.

“I saw him when the cameras were off,” Grisham said. “Behind closed doors, Trump mocks his supporters. He calls them basement-dwellers.”

She said that one time while Trump was at a hospital visit to see dying patients, he was upset that the camera wasn’t on him.

“He has no empathy, no morals and no fidelity to the truth,” she said. “He used to tell me, ‘It doesn’t matter what you say, Stephanie, say it enough and people will believe you.’”

An apparent screenshot of text messages between Grisham and first lady Melania Trump appeared on a large screen as Grisham spoke. The messages show Grisham asking Melania Trump on Jan. 6, 2021, if the first lady wanted to tweet that there is no place for lawlessness and violence.

Grisham said Melania Trump simply responded, “No.”

Grisham said she was the first senior staffer to resign that day, as the DNC crowd applauded.

“I couldn’t be a part of the insanity any longer,” she said.

Grisham never held a typical White House briefing while Trump’s press secretary. On Tuesday, she said that she’d “never wanted to stand at the podium and lie,” unlike Trump.

“Now here I am behind a podium advocating for a Democrat and that’s because I love my country more than my party,” she said. “Kamala Harris tells the truth, she respects the American people, and she has my vote.”

Grisham told CNN Tuesday night that it had been “surreal” to speak onstage at the DNC.

“But I had to tell the truth. It was terrifying, I’m not going to lie,” Grisham said.

Last week, while on CNN, Grisham offered her insight on Trump’s campaign. Though Trump’s team has reportedly advised him to hold smaller events and mini-rallies, she said she doubts the candidate will listen to them.

“They want him to be a fake version of himself,” Grisham said. “Donald Trump is a bombastic narcissist, and he loves attention.”

That was revealed during the January 6th committee investigation too...Trump family member's conversations during the Capitol riots especially what they were doing while they watched/listened on TV as it unfolded to the "Hang Mike Pence" chants and then storming of the Capitol building.

It's scary to know this was the President's family behaving like this...intentionally putting American lives at risk and refusing multiple times to intervene...not even a statement to social media or the press until Ivanka forced her father to "say something" because this will be part of his legacy as a U.S. President.

It was a chilling recount from Melania's former personal assistant about the First Lady behavior during the Capitol riots. If I'm not mistaken...about 7 insiders quit that day (walked out of the White House).

They never returned. They were that disgusted and felt America was betrayed. Two of them speaking at the DNC. ​

It's now part of his legacy and many people do not trust Trump especially those from his inner circle including lawyers today taking plea deals for the remaining criminal trials to testify against Trump.

By the way, Ivanka recently stated if her father were to win...she has no interest in being involved with anything with the White House.

Trump bit off too much at a recent rally just before the DNC when he openly bragged he was not going to be nice. ​

The Dems have been bringing in Republicans from his inner circle who are revealing a lot of things about Trump and re-opening sad events in America's history that were incited by Trump.

Events I as a Republican, ex-military soldier, and 4th generation military family find January 6th, 2021 very shameful. I too watched it unfold on TV...I too am still disgusted by it. It will be one of those events I will never forget and it had an enormous impact on my ex-spouse (West Point Alum), and my kids...one currently at a military academy.

Last time I can remember both my spouse and I shaking with coldness & fear was when we watched 911 unfold live on TV...watched planes go into the twin towers and then watched the towers come down back in 2001.

Trump brought back those horrible memories. ​

Too bad Liz Cheney (R) will be traveling abroad on vacation with her daughter during the DNC. Yet, Adam Kinzinger (R) will be speaking at the DNC. I believe tonight. Also, I'm surprised McCain's daughters will not be there too. :D

Former President Donald Trump is pushing a new narrative that the Biden administration has falsified job numbers and was "caught" in the act — something the former president proclaimed was a "massive scandal" on Truth Social and repeated at his rally in North Carolina on Wednesday.

But his claims are completely false, Philip Bump wrote for The Washington Post. And they're based on a fundamental misunderstanding of how the Bureau of Labor Statistics compiles job numbers.

Trump's claim stems from a revision of released job numbers over the last year which saw them drop by 818,000 — is a fairly large revision. But, Bump noted, it's a routine thing that the bureau does as it gets more information.

In fact, he wrote, by Trump's logic, "In a massive scandal, the Trump administration was caught fraudulently manipulating job statistics in August 2019 to hide the true extent of the economic ruin it had inflicted upon America. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released at that point showed that the administration padded the numbers with an extra 501,000 jobs that do not exist, and never did."

In reality, Bump said, neither Trump nor Biden faked any numbers. The BLS just posted a preliminary estimate it had to revise later.

And while 0.5 percent of the expected labor force not existing is not good news and the most significant such revision since 2009, it still means the economy added about 2 million jobs over the last year. The main impact of the revision will be to put more pressure on the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates.

"What's important to keep in mind here is that the adjustment also doesn't do much to address the broader point Trump wants to make," wrote Bump. "He hopes to insinuate that there's some conspiracy to misrepresent the numbers, yes, but that's obviously false given the explanation above. (It also doesn't make any sense politically: if the administration were inventing data to boost Harris, why wouldn't they invent a different adjustment or not release it?)

"But Trump also wants to suggest that job growth under Biden has been weaker than Democrats like to argue. (This is similarly why he likes to claim that more than 100 percent of new employment (?) is going to immigrants, which it isn't.)"

Trump may desperately want to see a conspiracy in the latest updates, Bump concluded, "But there's no such conspiracy, just government bureaucracy slowly doing its thing. And there’s no real comparison on job addition, either."

I wouldn't go that far to call her a "slut" considering I don't know anything about her sex life before she married Trump and if it wasn't relevant to America when she was First Lady...it should be irrelevant today.

As the Commander-in-chief, Trump did not have enough courage to march with the mob he incited to storm the Capitol.

There's a pattern here with former employees of Trump, current Republicans, retired Republicans, lawyers from Trump's inner circle taking plea deals to stay out of prison when the two remaining criminal trials go to court, and ex-Trump aids & advisors...

There's a recognizable commonality about Trump for Independents to view the evidence as if it was laid out for them by "a prosecutor" to help the Independents decide to not vote for Trump.

The funny aspect is that everybody doesn't understand why Harris is slowly revealing her policies.

Trump and MAGA...she's a former prosecutor...what in the hell did they expect she would be do to them heading into the DNC, continue to do into the September 18th sentencing date and then the 2024 November election will be her closing arguments??? ​

Simply, Trump is on trial right now because Harris is very familiar with his type and Trump doesn't even know it. This is how you beat Donald Trump...a convicted felon 34x (more felonies pending) !!!
