Are you slow? He was a registered Republican.

He registered as republican so he could try to vote out Trump at the primary. PA requires you to be a registered republican to vote. His Dad was a far left democrat. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, my friend.

Trump Rally Gunman Was ‘Definitely Conservative,’ Classmate Recalls

A former classmate of the 20-year-old man who tried unsuccessfully to kill former President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday recalled him being staunchly to the right of the political spectrum. “He definitely was conservative,”

Max R. Smith told The Philadelphia Inquirer of Thomas Crooks. “It makes me wonder why he would carry out an assassination attempt on the conservative candidate.”

Smith shared an American history class with Crooks, and remembered a mock debate where their teacher made students stand on one side of the classroom or another to signal their allegiance. “The majority of the class were on the liberal side, but Tom, no matter what, always stood his ground on the conservative side,” Smith said. “That’s still the picture I have of him. Just standing alone on one side while the rest of the class was on the other.”

Crooks died in the assassination attempt. Trump, who suffered a minor injury to the ear, was “fine” Sunday after being treated at a local medical facility, his campaign said. One audience member was killed and two others critically injured amid the gunfire.

Fox has the cheek to use "Trump" and "soldier" in the same sentence:

Trump to soldier on at RNC as Secret Service faces growing scrutiny over its historic failure

Trump is not a soldier but he is a former United States President. Regardless, I still think the local law enforcement and Secret Service fucked up big time. The shooter was close enough that he probably did not need a scope on that AR-15.

I expect civil lawsuits from family members of the fire chief who was killed and the other wounded civilians.

The guy was a Republican considering he expressed himself as such to his classmates besides just being a registered Republican voter. Also, I know people who are a registered voter for one party while their parents, siblings, or friends are registered voters for the other party...it's not uncommon.

Also, some wealthy people donate to both political parties. Most likely they do it as a tax write-off while they're a registered voter for one particular party.

I find it strange that people here at the forum have threads about RINOs or Never-Trumpers that are Republicans but they then seem confused or in denial that a Republican would shoot or kill another Republican.

The bigger question is, did the lunatic Crooks tell others what he had planned to do and did he have help doing it although he was the only shooter ???

The FBI should be able to tell us that within the next 1 - 2 weeks.

Meh, I assume he graduated high school a couple years ago. People's politics change all the time at that age. I remember bouncing back and forth with many views as I got new information and when conservatism didn't mean following a cult of personality. Honestly, he could have been radicalized into something in months.

Libtards lie. Just like when that muslim woman in the hijab shot up google. She claimed it was a white woman and when they asked what she was wearing she said a scarf over her head. Or when a certain black guy claimed 2 white MAGA hat wearing republicans beat him, poured bleach on his head and put a noose around his neck saying "This is MAGA country", or The Covington High kids that "harassed a native American" and the media told them they were just "a bunch of hateful racists trying to bully the poor Native American"
