Trump seeking more federal control over state matters

The Trump administration will seek to revoke California’s authority to regulate automobile greenhouse gas emissions -- including its mandate for electric car sales -- in a proposed revision of Obama-era standards, according to three people familiar with the plan.

Lobbyists seen dancing outside Capitol Hill.

Edit:. Though I suppose the EPA probably has final say, hence waivers

This is great... all of a sudden we will see big govt lefties talking about states rights and federal govt overreach.

do you lefties think CA should be able to have its own standards if the govt pulls its waiver? or do you think CA must abide by federal govt standards.

This is an important question... which I realize few lefties will have the guts to answer.
Do you concede more and more power to the feds. or you do you only wish to concede it when the Feds are screwing the other side.

Piezoe you love giving your opinion on the Constitution and Federal powers...
Where do you stand and why?

I have Piezo on ignore but last I knew, he had identified secret sections of the U.S. Constitution- that can only be deciphered with Piezo's BatMan Decoder Ring- that said that the Supreme Judicial Court of Saskatchewan is the final court of appeal for all U.S. Constitutional issues because the Framers all wanted to be Canadian but had to settle for second best.

Most likely, nothing has changed.

1943: In the middle of World War II, Los Angeles residents believe the Japanese are attacking them with chemical warfare. A thick fog that makes people’s eyes sting and their noses run has taken hold of the city. Visibility is cut down to three city blocks.

Attack of the L.A. Smog ArchivesAs residents would later find out, the fog was not from an outside attacker, but from their own vehicles and factories. Massive wartime immigration to a city built for cars had made L.A. the largest car market the industry had ever seen. But the influx of cars and industry, combined with a geography that traps fumes like a big bowl, had caught up with Angelenos.
