Trump refers to Nazis as 'us' as he defends racists again

Donald Trump was supposed to deliver a press conference on his infrastructure executive order — but as soon as questions came in from reporters, things devolved into an astonishing shouting match over the Charlottesville terror attack and the president’s equivocal statement in response.

At one point during the frenetic exchange, a reporter asked Trump about Sen. John McCain’s comments that the alt-right was behind the violence in Charlottesville.

In response, Trump challenged the reporter to “define the alt-right” for him. “You define it, go ahead. No define it for me, come on, let’s go.”

As the reporter attempted to answer, Trump interjected: “Ok, what about the alt-left that came charging at them? Excuse me, what about the alt-left that came charging at the — as you say — the alt-right? Do they have any semblance of guilt?”

As a number of astonished reporters shouted questions, Trump continued “what about the fact they came charging, that they came charging with clubs in their hands swinging clubs? Do they have any problem? I think they do.”

As another reporter shouted a question, Trump pointed at him and said “wait a minute, I’m not finished, I’m not finished fake news.”

Trump continued to argue that he watched the protests very closely, and again reiterated that there was violence on both sides, accusing the anti-Nazi protestors of “charging in without a permit.”

“And they were very, very violent,” he added.

Trump was next asked if he thought the “alt-left is the same as neo-Nazis.” The president responded that “many of those people were there to protest the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee.”

“I wonder, is it George Washington next week, and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?” Trump opined.

Following the press conference, Trump noted that he owns a winery in Charlottesville, which he declared as “one of the largest wineries in the United States.”

Krauthammer was a little taken aback by that argument:

“To critique what he did today on the grounds that it distracts from the agenda or was a tactical mistake I believe is a cop-out. What Trump did today was a moral disgrace. What he did is reverted back to where he was on Saturday, and made it very clear that what he read on… Monday, two days later, was a hostage take. Clearly reading off a prompter, saying these denunciations by name of the KKK, et cetera. That wasn’t Trump speaking. That was the aides speaking.”

Wasn't it a couple weeks ago the racist degenerates on this site were proclaiming that the republican party wasn't racist and that the dems were really the KKK?

I still can't believe it, Nazis. Unbelievable. With cheap Tiki torches from Walmart.

FOXNews does a heckuva job using racism to keep the White Race on the Republican Plantation, the plantation of outsourcing jobs, tax cuts for the rich, more corporate welfare, etc., everything that benefits the elite at the expense of these morons.

“It’s honestly crazy for me to have to comment on this right now because I’m still in the phase where I’m wondering if it was actually real life what I just watched. It was one of the biggest messes that I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe it happened… He’s not measured in his criticism. He goes after people as soon as he has the inkling. For him to take 48 hours, that is something he has never done before. It shouldn’t be some kind of bold statement to say, ‘Yes, a gathering full of white supremacist Nazis doesn’t have good people in it. Those are all bad people, period.’ And the fact that that’s controversial… I don’t know if I should laugh. I have too much eye makeup on to start crying right now. It’s disgusting.”

Still waiting for democrats to disavow James Hodgkinson for trying to assassinate congressmen who were just playing baseball.

Democrats seem to get a free pass from the media when they do something diabolical. Example would be the pulse night club shooting. Can you imagine the uproar if a white supremacist shot up a nightclub and killed 49 black people....and then Trump started bringing the white supremacists parents to his rallies while refusing to utter the words "Radical white supremacist terrorism" Just blowing it off as "oh he was radicalized online...it's just an isolated case"
