This is not surprising. There seems to be one error in the daily mail story. The last of the two June filings contained a witnesses name and statement, which is a corroboration of sorts.. In that filing it was alleged that the witness was an employee of Epstein's at the time of the alleged rape. There were (are?) other very similar filings under other names. The Daily Mail says they have learned that the reason the suit was dropped was because the claims were not true. The source of this information is not identified. One wonders how they could have learned this since neither side is talking with the exception of Trumps lawyer who has steadfastly maintained, of course, that the suit has no merit . If in fact there was a 'closed door' settlement we would not know, nor would any one but the parties. No doubt the plaintiffs real identity will eventually leak. California muckrakers will be watching to see if the impecunious former plaintiff now owns a new Ferrari.
