I listen to Trump’s interview and stopped because no policy, no plans to help and nothing but Trump grievances. Elon had no ability to reign in Trump’s ramblings, it sucked and it’s why he’s afraid to debate Harris.

Former President Donald Trump had loudly trumpeted a planned Monday night interview with Musk that would stream on X. But much like the disastrous X-platformed launch of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign, the Musk/Trump interview failed to launch, leaving social media users laughing at the collective incompetence.

Since Vice President Kamala Harris rose to the top of the Democratic presidential ticket last month, Trump’s reelection campaign has been flailing. His childish attacks against her aren’t working. His racist comments about her mixed-race heritage have repelled all but his most loyal supporters. His vice presidential pick, JD Vance, becomes less likable every time he speaks.

So his answer, weirdly, was to sit down with Musk and talk to what would undoubtedly be a very online audience that doesn’t represent the broader electorate. Had the conversation gone off without a hitch, it still would have been odd and largely useless for Trump’s effort to halt Harris’ momentum.

But the online interview went off (the rails)with a multitude of hitches. X users erupted with either frustration or laughter as the planned start time passed, and nothing could be accessed. It took more than 40 minutesbefore the interview could start and be heard by anyone. It was amateur hour, the last thing a campaign struggling to project competence needed.

In May 2023, when DeSantis' presidential campaign premiered with a glitch-tastic interview with Musk on what was then called Twitter, Trump mocked the debacle, writing on social media: “Wow! The DeSanctus TWITTER launch is a DISASTER! His whole campaign will be a disaster. WATCH!…”

I stopped listening after 5 minutes as well. It was completely devoid of anything but the usual. However, I do note your complete lack of intellectual honestly with Kamala having absolutely no substance as well.
 
No American kings amd no nuclear football for this guy, he is at the very best having a serious breakdown. The magnitude of this gaslighting, himself? He has lost it.

Which he has had before, Covid would disappear by Easter like a miricle etc.

The latest boast from Trump surrogates is about the YHHUUGE audience.

It's amusing how Musk counts "views" -- basically anyone who views a page where the interview link was available (e.g. the home page and everyone's feed) is counted as a view. Even if they never clicked on or watched the video.

I caught the end which seems like it was better than the beginning. They were talking a lot about energy when I tuned in. The benefits of ANWR oil production are overstated. If we get into an oil war with OPEC we will lose, because they produce oil at a much cheaper rate. The breakeven production price is estimated to be between $62.50 and $83.60 per barrel. OPEC produces oil at a breakeven price of $10 per barrel. The truth is that if the US starts increasing production, OPEC can also increase the production in response and squeeze our companies into debt. Remember how the Saudis squeezed Russia when they refused to cut production.
