This is what happens when you get elected on the most important issue to voters, immigration, but then appoint a bunch of advisors who oppose your agenda and you end up doublecrossing your core supporters. The big thinkers at the RNC have another idea, ie cast the election as a choice between capitalism and socialism. Look how well that worked for Romney. Nothing will get MAGA fired up like more tax cuts for billionaires and more immigrant workers.

I support a plan that EVERONE should be covered and the government SHOULD pay for it, using private insurance for most, and government should negotiate with drug companies. There should be no cuts to Medicaid.
Government should pay for medical coverage for all.
Coverage for everyone is just human decency.

Human decency is often in short supply in the US when the pursuit of profit takes over. The problem is the US has gotten so extreme in recent years on so many levels yet it doesn't know it is extreme. Only when things totally fall apart are they addressed at all; kind of life how you guys deal with wild fires and floods.

Apparently the solution to your health care issues is to simply declare they don't exist and revel in how good your system supposedly is.

I totally agree, but, and this is the big but, costs have to come down to reasonable market levels first. If not, any arrangement (as we are seeing presently) will not survive long term.
