Trump Pulls Out of North Korea Summit

It is entirely reasonable to say that Donald Trump does not have the personal attributes befitting the high office of President of the United States. I truly get that and to an extent agree with it in fact.

Let's talk about scummy scams and cons. Is Trump worse than the When Wall Street bankers, mortgage brokers and ratings agencies who knowingly blew up the world financial system, made millions homeless, made millions jobless and wiped out trillions of equity in people's retirement plans? One could certainly argue that Trump did less damage to people's lives and the economy than the chairman of AIG or S&P or Moody's or the CEO of any of the Wall Street banks.

See, here's the thing. People overlook the faults in others for various reasons. There are confirmation biases. Many HRC voters overlooked quite a bit of scummy con things about Bill Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.

This is just my opinion, but for white working middle class voters - the fact that the Obama administration put exactly ONE MBS banker in prison while those very Banks contributed enormously to both President Obama and Hillary Clinton was not a good look. For millions and millions of Americans, they suffered personally at the hands of Wall Street and they were pissed that none were held to account. It's like hundreds of Trump University and Trump property renters versus millions of citizen voters suffering from the 2008 financial crisis.

Have you taken a look at Trump's cabinet yet? Hell, read this and then let's see if you give the same speech again

Pathetic whatabout by the way.

15 States and DC have banned payday loans. In 2006, under the Bush administration, Congress banned businesses from offering them to military service members.

I think that the remaining States should make them illegal - sure would be simpler and faster but unfortunately it sidesteps the considerable legal barriers to bringing a successful court case against Indian Tribes.

So your whatabout is somehow more rational than Obama and the Dems giving Wall Street a free pass on the mortgage crisis and the 2008 global financial disaster ? Not even close.

Seems you still haven't fully grasped what Trump is doing

Under his leadership, the CFPB delayed a new payday lending regulation from going into effect and dropped an investigation into one payday lender that contributed to Mulvaney's campaign

The CFPB lawsuit disagreed, saying Golden Valley makes illegal loans across the country.

For her part, Bonenfant still hasn't paid off her debt to Golden Valley. And she feels betrayed by the president, whose appointee dropped the lawsuit.

"To be honest I'm really mad, really pissed, because I actually voted for Trump," Bonenfant says. "So knowing that his guy threw out this case that affects people like me, I feel kind of like stupid — just kind of like betrayed."

To say that Dems gave a free pass on the same day with this news Trump signs the biggest rollback of bank rules since the financial crisis

Who made those rules? That's right - Dems did. Dems created CFPB, Dems passed all those regulations against big banks but they gave Wall Street a pass? Right.

I think that it is impossible for either American Party system to assert absolute moral superiority over the other - that's the point that I have been trying to make.

You have to realize the Republican and Democrat parties are fungible. The conservatives move from one party to another because at the root of both parties is liberalism. Yes, conservatives are actually political parasites in America.

IMO that theorem does a horrible job of explaining the flight of some classical liberals and to a much greater extent the white working class away from the Democratic Party. Just my opinion.
