Trump sees himself as will-be King. To do this Congress has been sidelined, the Joint Services Cee reduced, the free Press muzzled, NATO in disarray etc. Not so far to go before he is like his role model - Putin, in total charge. No doubt he has something cooking which will get Putin on board next week.
He has certainly fooled the US electors and run rings around Congress.

Well, the bill they were floating in Congress would've given him absolute control to levy tariffs but that got shut down quick.

Let's be honest, industry and lobbyists own Washington. Whomever gains the most by protectionism vs free trade will likely get their way. Flake floated holding judicial confirmations hostage and they got a big one coming up (don't see them doing it though).

It will be a surprise/disappointment for you but I am not Chinese. I am European.

I agree with Trump on:

• NATO should from now on pay 2% like they agreed in past.
  
• China is a danger and something should be done about it.

But the problem with Trump is that he is a unguided missile and because of that reason he is a big danger for the whole Western world. He is kicking around like a fool without having any idea about the consequences of his behavior. He jumps from black to white, from left to right, says in a second tweet just the opposite of what he wrote in a first tweet. He would never get any high management function in any big company because of his mental state (left aside the intellectual side of the story).

His behavior makes Putin very happy as Putin wants the West to become weak so that Russia has more possibilities to do what they wish to do. Putin is 100 times smarter, and richer now, than Trump. By helping Trump to be elected, Putin can let Trump do the dirty job. A very smart move by Putin but Americans don't even understand that. Putin uses "divide and conquer" tactics by using and manipulating Trump. And Trump is too stupid to understand that.

1. Trump is dividing/weakening the NATO, which is a dream come thru for Putin.
2. Trump is threatening the UK for a hard Brexit, which is a dream come thru for Putin.
3. Trump is damaging the entire Western economy, which is a dream come thru for Putin.
4. Trump is damaging the relations with China, while Russia is doing more and more economic deals with China (replacing the US), which is a dream come thru for Putin.
5. Trump is a kind of a Trojan horse.

If you can't see that extremely obvious fact, I believe your judgement is seriously impaired by your hate towards Trump, otherwise called TDS.

My experience with TDS patients is that nothing will ever change their mindset regardless of how much factual evidence is presented to them.

I hope you can understand my position as I decide not to engage with you in political discussions going further...it is a waste of time for both of us.

BTW, thinking out of the box in our lethargic political system is a welcome respite from the conventional idiots we have had over the last many years, imo.
