Done all the time in supreme court cases involving criminal law. Not that "grandfathering" is automatically done, but that the court decides case by case whether it will or not depending on whether the unconstitutional feature of a process fundamentally denied the defendants a fair trial or not.

This morning I was getting a blood test and walked out after paying and was halfway home before they phoned me to get my stupid self back to draw the blood.

I pay a lot of medical bills for people, I was on autopilot from lack of sleep.

But even like this, I am still way sharper than Pointy.
