Ok, what are we spending on NATO?
It's amazing how you can get a simple situation so wrong. ISIS was created by Saudi Arabia and Qatar with Obama's approval to combat Iranian, ie shia muslim, influence in Iraq and later as shock troops to overthrow Assad so as to deny Iran a pipeline through Syria.
Russia and Syria have been allies for decades and Russia has a navy base there. They sent troops there after requests from the legitimate government of Syria. They were busy wiping out both ISIS and "our" terrorists, the ones McCain was so enthusiastic about. Obama was desperate to put US troops in there to stymie the Russians but was badly outplayed by Putin.
Of course, the stage had been set for this by another monumental Obama disaster, the overthrow on contrived grounds of Libya's government.
All this talk of percentages is irrelevant. The real question is why do we still have NATO, a relic of the Cold War. The stated premise is to defer Russian aggression. Germany is busy signing a long term gas deal with Russia, the country we are bankrupting ourselves to protect them from. If Russia were truly a threat, the last thing they would do is give Germany a stranglehold over their energy supply.
NATO may have made some sense when we were defending a common cultural heritage. Our euro "allies" have decided they prefer the culture of islam and Africa however and are busy transforming their countries into something we cannot even recognize. The sacrifices of WW II were pretty much all for naught. I feel for the poor slobs who gave their lives for "freedom" only to see their countries turned into repressive hellholes where an honest man is put in jail for objecting to muslim rape gangs preying on young English school girls.

It is hard to believe reading AAA's last two posts that a human can have that much septic trash in his mind and not just die from it?
No (relative stranger) gives me cheek in person, everyone is careful what the say to me as I am physically very imposing. The last person who did was my US trumper ex-pat neighbor who resorted to waiting at the elevator for me to come into the car park (I walk up the stairs) and then bitching from a safe distance. If I lose my temper or even move fast men shit themselves. Most of the honest conversations I have are with women who don't perceive me as a physical threat.
This little experiment online where I can try saying closer to what I think has been somewhat therapeutic.. however I really would prefer not to need to vent
