The proposal from Trump is offering democrats absolutely nothing.

Because they think they will get it eventually anyway. They see what pathetic pussies and losers the congressional republicans are and think if they can stall Trump, he will lose reelection and they will either have a Senate majority or have a dem president dealing with sellouts like Romney.

It's a cold strategy and it could fail, but they know time is on their side.

It is interesting that I have not heard a lot of high-profile calls to abolish ICE in the current environment as before the midterm elections. Not saying there are none, so lefties you dont need to post some. We know a few who keep that as their mantra. Just sayin the word must be out among dems that things are so fragile that you dont want to go there because Trump might go full savage- and he will.

Trump has that part of him where he likes to make a deal. But he also savors that image he has of himself as Andrew Jackson where- even if he goes down in a ball of flames- he wants to be remembered as the rough animal who took not shit. If he is in that mode and if he is not all that interested in running for a second term and not worrying about that political stuff he can dig in hard for the long haul. Could get rough. Especially since the woes of the federal workers dont concern people- including me- much. You show no concern for people whose family have been killed by illegals and then you want me worry about whether the Smithsonian is open? Nope. And TSA? Yup. need to fund them because they are part of the national security goal we are trying to accomplish, and the coast guard too. Other than that, you want the trash picked up over at Yosemite? Go over and do it yourself or stay home. We have a national crisis going on and it is going to get worse. Maybe start hoarding cans of spam. The porn you watch on your government computer will still be there when you get back. Use the wifi down at Starbucks to watch your porn and cats playing the piano on youtube in the meantime.

As you know from my posts earlier today, I was prepared to jettison Trump if he gave them too much. I have put him back on probation now for further, ongoing evaluation. Thank you for helping me to process that.

Most of those federal employees vote for dems who put the lives of illegal aliens before the lives of Americans. If that ends out biting them at some point as it has other "innocents" in the country, then they can take it up with their dem reps. As Trump says: "we can settle this in 45 minutes."

Almost all of those fed employees will be returning to before Officer Singh and Kate Steinle will.

Gun violence is a very serious issue and one that has been ignored by the right while overall crimes has dramatically reduced gun deaths are at an all time high.

That poor woman and man deserve better than to be used as a talking point by disingenuous low lifes trying to force ineffective and idiotic measures such as stupid border wall on the American people.

If you truly cared even a whit for the safety of the public and law enforcement officers you would come to terms with out of control gun situation in this country.

As Trump’s situation with this border wall fiasco becomes more and more of a dead end you raise more and more low life arguments such as firing people for no reason and bringing victims of gun violence as talking points. That’s pathetic.
